About the event
In this workshop, you will layout and cut a set of timber framed sawhorses. This workshop introduces students to Square Rule layout methods, cutting mortise and tenon, test fiting and assembly. At the completion of the workshop, you will take home a strudy set of sawhorses.
Star Hill Timberworks workshops are designed for beginners. The intent of this instruction is to provide students the skills and develop the confidence such that at the completion of the class, students are comfortable with mortise and tenon joinery.
Framing Chisel 1 1/2" - If needed, you can reserve your Star Hill chisel ($180) via the checkout process; your chisel will be available the first day of class. We do have a ticket option that includes a loaner chisel.

Primitive camping and lunch Saturday and Sunday is included with the course fee.
Workshop Fee = $600 - The work shop fee includes materials for set of timber frame sawhorse and a custom Refiner's Forge marking knife ($100 value) - only available through Star Hill events. Sawhorse built in the workshop are 2' 10" tall and 2' 10" accross the top. This footprint can be expanded for an additonal materials fee (contact us at Jon@StarHillTimberorks - 651.494.4166 to reserve materials for a larger sawhorse set).
A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot, the remainder is due one week prior to the star of the workshop.
