discussed \n\n\njoints are reviewed before and after cutting \n\n\nquestions are answered in the moment \n\n\nuncertainty is resolved before it turns into doubt \n\n\nyou’re not watching from the sidelines.you’re building — with guidance — the entire week. \n\nbuild something real\nthis is not a bench class. \nnearly all of your time is spent working on a full timber frame structure: \n\n\nfull layout \n\n\nreal joinery \n\n\nfitting and adjustment \n\n\ntest raising as a crew \n\n\neverything you cut is part of the frame. \nstanding inside a structure you helped build changes what you believe you’re capable of. \n\nmanuals & plans\nstudents receive the digital timber framing practices manual\, which documents the star hill system step by step: \n\n\nlayout logic \n\n\nsequencing \n\n\ncutting and fitting workflow \n\n\nthe digital manual is provided before class\, so you arrive already familiar with the process. \nstudents also receive a digital copy of the timber frame plan built during the class. \na printed poly shop manual will be available at the class for those who prefer a physical reference. \n\nregistration & initial payment\nto enroll\, an initial payment of $700 is required. \nthis is the first portion of the class tuition and begins your participation in the star hill timber framing system. \nwith your initial payment\, you receive: \n\n\nthe timber frame kit\, shipped prior to class \n\n\naccess to the digital timber framing practices manual \n\n\nthe remaining class balance is due on the first day of class. \n\nbringing your timber frame kit to class\nstudents are encouraged to bring their timber frame kit to class and work with their own tools. \nif travel logistics make that difficult\, loaner layout tools are available\, so no one is limited by what they can bring. \n\nchisels & hand tools during class\nloaner chisels are provided for all students. \nyou’re encouraged to bring your own chisels if you have them\, but it’s not required. \nthroughout the week\, you’ll work with a range of hand tools and power tools\, gaining hands-on experience before deciding what belongs in your own shop. \nchisels\,
