  1. Learn, build, share

I think it’s more important now than ever to be able to share the knowledge we have to future generations because authenticity, creativity and shared learned skills and knowledge is so much more important than money could ever be.

  2. Envision. Build. Share.

    ENVISION/dream/design your project.
BUILD it, bring it to life.
SHARE the outcome/journey/skills with family, friends and community.

  3. Anchor. Steward. Legacy

What keeps me grounded is an anchor — steady through long days and hard work.
I believe in being a steward, showing up, protecting what matters, and leaving things better than I found them.
Everything I build is meant to be a legacy — honest work shaped to endure for generations.

  4. craft created community

the craft of timber framing creates connection (people and joinery) which bonds us as a community that will leave a legacy

  5. Trusted, Chosen, Different

Timber framing has been trusted and chosen throughout history. Be different than current trends and choose it again!

  6. Kris Heidelberger

    Faith – Family – Friends

Starting to actually build some timber framing after watching 2guys timber framing, I bought a Woodland Mills 126 in 2002, I never unboxed it until last week, now getting ready to start a Sauna timber frame building.

  7. None build alone.

Even when we work alone, building is never solitary. Every structure rests on knowledge, forests, tools, and people shaped by generations before us. We build as part of a lineage and a community, contributing to something larger than ourselves.

  8. Pray, persevere, praise. Pray for the strength to persevere the trials of the day and praise the Lord for the all His goodness.

  9. Sharp*
    Sharp*
    Sharp*

    (Or…Keep It Sharp)

I have been teaching log and massive wood joinery for over 30 years. I Always start my sessions adding to “keep your Mind sharp, your pencil sharp, your tools sharp..”

  10. Timeless Enduring Testament

    Timeless design
    Enduring craftsmanship
    – a Testament to the people who build these structures

  11. Artisanal Timeless Heirloom

I remember the first time I was captured by a timber frame. I was sitting in a quint restaurant in Maine that was formerly a timber frame home. I found myself captured by the beauty of the craftsmanship. That fame left a permanent mark on my imagination and I knew two things from that day forward. I would learn the skills to build my own timber frame and I would one day live in a timber frame home. Blessed to have had both come true. I still have much to learn but the journey has been more enjoyable than the destination.

  12. Respect, Educate, Pass on

Respect the craft, Educate others on the Craft, and ensure it lives on by passing on the knowledge to future generations

  13. Forgotten Legacy Revival

I love how this craft is rising again and how it’s built such a strong community. People say hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times. But it doesn’t have to follow that cycle. Even in good times, we can choose to do hard things. We can choose work that demands strength, skill, and intention. And when we do, what we build can stand the test of time and tell a story people will want to know.

  14. Precise, patients, perseverance
Well made tools allow me to make precise layouts and the patients to think through before cutting the beam. And also allows me the confidence to persevere with the timber frame project.

  15. Heritage – Pride – Strength

This is the way to remember those that went before us, put our heart and soul into our work, and know that this work makes our structures and bodies strong.
